Crow's Nest

While staying at a relatives place one weekend during the monsoons, I came upon this little nest just outside their windows. I'm not familiar with nesting habits of crows, but it seems odd to me that this family decided to build a home during peak monsoon. I did learn later that the eggs never hatched. A couple of weeks later the workers, while cleaning the exterior of the building, cleared out the nest too.
