Looking out…

An idol in its finished state gazes out upon the road outside the artisans shop at Ganesh Gully, Lalbaug. A chance excursion with a colleague led me to this treasure trove of good picture taking opportunities. A day before the Ganesh Utsav festivities were to begin in the city, the place was brimming with workers scrambling to add finishing touches, eager shoppers examining idols and local youths volunteering to help whoever was here to be a part of this jolly atmosphere.
