Another peek into the lives of the fishermen at Goa brought this scene to the fore - dozens of fish brought in from the sea in this manner lay drying on the beach, even as several men carried in more. Some people might be shocked at the quantities, claiming it harms the ecosystem. The fact is that a modern fishing fleet will rope in several thousand times this amount in a fraction of the time, with a remarkably high wastage ratio.
