These traditional puppets were strung up for sale in the flea market at Anjuna Beach, Goa. Their rich embroidery was reminiscent of things seen towards parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat. Not surprisingly, the man selling them also wore a large turban upon his head, the kind worn by the Marwari communities. It really is amazing how enterprising people can be, to travel miles across the country in order to do business.
