As the Ganesh festival continues in the city during the first week of this month, we celebrate with a collection of brand new pictures taken in the artisans workshops at Ganesh Gully, Lalbaug.
The year so far has brought several tragedies for the city and the country. But people steadfastedly continue to keep faith in their favourite elephant headed god, and work towards a better tomorrow.
Despite warnings of possible attacks, people have thronged from far to watch the fantastic spectacles that famous Ganesh mandals have put up in various parts of the city. Faith may move mountains, but here, people are generally happy just to have their God visit them for a few days each year.
